Block of Punch and Kick (Basic):
Holding the "rope" with your hands approximately 18" apart, use a soft touch to block down the kick and then the punch. The idea is to cause the strikes to miss - "inch is as good as a mile" .

Block Punch and Kick (Take-Down):
After blocking the kick and punch, wrap the punching hand to gain control of the attacker. This is similar to HapKiDo techniques, you just utilize the rope to gain the control.

A variation of the take down technique, a HapKiDo throw of the attacker is utilized to control the attacker.

Block Punch and Kick (Throw and Chin Wrap):
An additional move is added to the blocks and take down, to wrap the rope around the attacker's chin/neck to gain ultimate control.
